Who are the sessions for?

Anyone who already plays bridge. It doesn’t matter if you have never played online before. Sessions are also divided into three different skill levels so you will be playing against players of a similar skill level.

When are the sessions?

Sessions will be held at a variety of different times, mostly during the day or early evening Melbourne time.  You will be emailed a list of the available session times after you register.

What happens during the tutorial session?

During the tutorial session you and your partner will be called on Skype or telephone.  We will then get you setup with your username and password and teach you how to play online including all of the etiquette with alerting and chat.

What happens during the online play sessions?

You will simply logon to BBO and have a table waiting to play.  You will then play against a real life opponent of a similar skill level and your scores will be compared to other people that are playing online.  You will be able to chat and interact with your opponents and partner online.

What if I have never played online?

Don’t worry, that is what the setup and practice tutorial is for.

What is the cost and how do I pay?

The cost of the 30 minute online tutorial and setup is $20AUD per person.  Each session you play will then cost $5AUD per person.  As an introductory offer we are offering an online coaching session + 2 online play sessions for $20(Online coaching session must be completed by 26/3 and play sessions must be used by 31/3).

Payments are only taken online by credit card through the Bridge Vid website by clicking HERE

When you make a payment you will be able to enter any amount that you choose.  You could pay per session or add credit and we will deduct amounts from this every time that you play.

Do I need a partner?

Currently we are not offering a partnership service and are only taking bookings for partnerships.  We may look to expand this in the future.

When are the sessions?

Sessions will be held at a variety of different times, mostly during the day or early evening Melbourne time.  You will be emailed a list of the available session times after you register.

What are my tech requirements?

A computer or tablet, a decent internet connection, Skype is preferred and if you have a desktop computer speakers are also preferred.

 How do I register?

First you will need to register your interest as a player by clicking HERE

You will then be emailed a list of sessions to choose from and will be able to sign up for them by clicking HERE

How long are the sessions?

The tutorial session is 30 minutes, the online play sessions are 90 minutes (1 and a half hours).

What is my skill level?

Most people will be an intermediate skill level.  If you have played for less than 3 years, it is probably best to start in the beginner sessions and if you have played for a long time and attend national events we would suggest the advanced group.

We will always be trying to match you against a partnership of a similar skill level.  If you find that you are out of your depth or are not challenged enough we will be able to tweak this.
